The SCM268 includes six transformers: four mic-level inputs with transformer-balanced XLR, one mic/line output with transformer-balanced XLR, and an internal low-dispersion field toroidal transformer.

All of those audio transformers provide protection from radio frequency interference, prevent ground loops, and make the SCM268 exceptionally quiet.

Add to this a reinforced half-rack chassis; with exceptionally solid rack mount hardware; and the SCM268 will easily fit into the widest variety of smaller applications such as: meeting rooms, houses of worship, radio and TV broadcasting and educational paging and public events.
