The BETA 27 is ideal for a wide range of acoustic, wind and electric instruments, including guitar and bass amplifiers, drums, percussion and piano. The compact supercardioid polar pattern ensures a high level of gain before feedback and offers maximum isolation from other sound sources, making it perfect for live applications.

How it sounds?

The BETA 27 has been designed to provide unbeatable transient response using an ultra-thin, lightweight Mylar diaphragm with external polarization adjustment. In addition, it offers a flat and neutral frequency response for natural reproduction.

What are its main characteristics?

The BETA 27 uses top-quality electronic components and gold-plated internal and external connectors. It includes a 3-position low-frequency filter that helps reduce background noise and counteracts proximity effect, as well as a switchable 15 dB attenuator that can easily handle extremely high sound pressure levels. The internal pop filter with 3 independent mesh layers reduces wind and breathing noise.

What is the difference between the BETA 27 and the SM27?

The BETA 27 is a supercardioid mic, while the SM27 is cardioid. You can expect a more concise and full-bodied sound with the BETA 27.
