dBTechnologies takes advantage of its long experience in the design of active systems with this new series aimed at less expert users, which guarantees the achievement of professional-level acoustic performance. The series uses high-efficiency Class D amplifiers that allow the system to achieve vigorous sound pressure levels (up to 126.5 dB for the largest 15” model). The new B-HYPE 8 is a versatile active system with a compression driver (1” voice coil) and an 8” woofer (1.5” voice coil). The dispersion pattern is asymmetric on the vertical axis and diversified (up and down) on the horizontal. In this way the coverage is more specific and efficient, especially in reverberant environments. The combo input allows great versatility of use, adapting for example to a dynamic microphone or a standard line input. The pre-configured BOOST equalization allows you to boost high and low frequencies. The LINK output supports connection to a second system. The portability of the systems is guaranteed by a contemporary and careful design that is characterized by 3 handles in all models (two on the sides and one on top) and a reduced total weight of 6.6 kg for the 8” model. 17.4 kg for the 15”. In addition, each enclosure can be used horizontally as a monitor, allowing stable support at 45° on both sides. The systems can be used on tripods or stands in combination with dBTechnologies subs.
